I drive to Singapore (5 hours in the old road) or first class night train to Singapore city center. without converting ringgit to S $-As IN Singapore MR is used with no hassle at par value to SING dollar. A GOOD HOTEL PER NIGHT IS 100 S DOLLAR= 100MR- FOOD same price as in KL. 1 TO 1

I BOUGHT a bungalow house 5000 sq foot landed in shah alam for Rm 350 k to day 4 million the same home a link was rm 75k today 700K Shah Alam was huge empty space then few occupants, but plenty of built homes, road wide and lovely airy clean air .Factories were on the other side most top executes travelled from PJ They did not live in Shah Alam - city was boring. No shops no entertainment etc There were no foreign LABOUR workers all were Malaysians or few Indonesians at best. A good maid was was Rm 600 A MONTH
GRADUATE STARTED SALARY RM 1000 IN MULTI NATIONAL
Still a home a car is affordable at very low interest rates.All cars were imported no proton etc
Streets nice to drive with manageable traffic.Only highway was federal highway. still make it withing 25 min at 100 + km pere hour to KL
pollution not noticeable
Processions, unheard with only 2 tv stations, all were still glued to-tv- after work just few years before it was only Black and white TV ,Colour came some where in .....? after 1979 probably
GOING UK ,AUSI, OR USA OR....NO PROBLEM,GOING FIVE STAR, DINNER NO PROBLEM.
YES WITH 2.1 TO ONE US. FEELING RICH,CAN DO MORE-FULL OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES.
WHAT IS THIS DEVELOPMENT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND? when i can see only exhausted faces driving back in bumper to bumper cars- a daily routine morning and evening- In the buses & LRT most are sleepy or fallen sleep sitting some even standing . Morning fresh perfume now has turned smelly- is this life? is this development?
LOVELY STREET BUT UNABLE TO WALK. NO AIR TO BREATH, LOVELY CARS NO ROADS TO DRIVE ,FILLED WITH TRAFFIC, PLENTY OF STORES, DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO- CONFUSED,NO PARKING, TOO MUCH TRAFFIC. NOW GENTING IS A CITY FILLED WITH BUILDINGS NO EMPTY LOVELY COOL BREEZY HORIZON IT USE TO BE.Howe ever shopping complexes are full during weekends. Appearing shopping is the only recreation here.
My first investment in KLSE was Consolidated plantation at Rm 1.25 - INVESTED WITHOUT A CLUE ABOUT FINANCIAL MARKETS. YET I MADE MONEY-
THAT is making me wonder what is this professionalism men are talking about? still it is the gut feel and discipline. nothing more.BEING A RAT IS IMPORTANT.
